Carpe Librum is a unique “pop-up” not-for-profit book store where all CDs, books, DVDs, and vinyl records are donated by the public and sold for under $6.

All proceeds go directly into the work of Turning the Page, a non-profit organization working in North Lawndale to link public schools, families and the community to ensure students receive valuable educational resources and a high-quality public education. Turning the Page provides home learning resources and activities, creates spaces for parents to build relationships with other parents and teachers, and builds a bridge to future leadership and advocacy opportunities for parents.

Interested in helping your community? Carpe Librum offers pick-up services for those wanting to donate 100 or more items. Local organizations can host book drives to further support local families, for more information about these services, please contact Jacob Dimuzio at jdimuzio@turningthepage.org or 773.362.8598
